When the original Arts and Crafts furniture was built, people slept in smaller beds. I build my beds to accommodate queen- or king-size mattresses. Comfort and convenience are just as important as aesthetics! ![]() Here is a queen size bed with a light, modern feel which still includes the design elements familiar to the Arts and Crafts movement. This basic design allows for many variations, the photo below shows another slat configuration with combination woods (Cherry with figured Maple accents).

![]() Made in quarter sawn White Oak to match the queen-sized bed (at right), this nightstand also looks great in Cherry (see above). This single-drawer design functions equally well as an end table.
